With the latest update, Apple has now given its iPhone 11 users more control over the new U1 ultra-wideband chip which has been in speculation for a while now. The company’s newly released iOS 13.3.1 update offers more control to users of the iPhone 11 series devices for controlling access to the device location. The update, which would come to all iPhone devices comes with more fixes for known bugs noticed in the previous version of iOS 13.
To get the iOS 13.3.1 update which is currently rolling to all iOS devices across the world, users will need to connect to a Wi-Fi network in order to download the update. Although there could be slight variations in the update size depending on devices the package should be mostly under 300MB. For iPhone users running currently on the iOS 13, the stunt is to head over to the Settings app and navigate to the Software Update to follow the download prompt.
This iOS update handles a rather elaborate list of bug fixes and improvements with the major changes to the iPhone 11 models being user’s ability to manually control the U1 ultra-wideband chip. This U1 chip collects precise location data from other U1 chip-enabled devices. This chip is currently used for AirDrop in the current iteration of iOS 13.
This update also fixes momentary delay experienced by iPhone 11 users before editing photos taken with Deep Fusion enabled. For other iPhone users, Apple has also released a couple of fixes related communication limits, multiple undo dialogues in mail and more.
It's not news that timely software patches to iPhones are more like Apple’s tradition but the upcoming iPhone9 launch could be delayed due to the outbreak of coronavirus in china. It is important to mention that reports have it that iPhone 9 would be a low-cost model just that there be a little delay in its launch as opposing the initial expected launch in March 2020.
